Mark Walter

Co-Chairman and CEO TWG Global

Mark Walter began his business career by launching a small investment and finance firm with two partners and $1 million of capital. Through TWG Global, Walter’s business holdings today span various industries, including Guggenheim Investments; Guggenheim Securities; Group 1001 Insurance; a finance and corporate lending business; and a merchant banking-private investment business, which includes holdings in sports, media, entertainment, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence and related technologies.

An active philanthropist, Walter is dedicated to conservation and social impact causes, with a focus on closing the opportunity gap for underserved communities. He and his partners commit a significant portion of profits to such efforts.

Walter’s maintains, through TWG Global, a controlling interest in MLB’s Los Angeles Dodgers, co-general partnership of the ownership group of the Premier League’s Chelsea Football Club, a significant interest in the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, and a controlling interest in a new GM/Cadillac Formula 1 team. An ardent supporter of women’s sports, he also has a controlling interest in the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks, is the owner and operator of the Professional Women’s Hockey League, and is a significant investor in the Billie Jean King Cup, the premier international team competition in women’s tennis.

Walter is a leader of LA Rises, a private-sector initiative to drive rebuilding and recovery efforts in Southern California following historic wildfire destruction in January 2025.

He and his wife, Kimbra, invest in numerous philanthropic causes. They have founded or are major benefactors of several organizations that expand opportunity for young people from underserved communities. These include the Academy Group, Chicago Beyond, and OneGoal.

Walter also oversees the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, which is committed to promoting education, literacy, recreation, and health for children and families throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Through TWF Conservation, the Walter family works to save imperiled species and natural habitats around the world by protecting wildlife, securing vast wilderness areas, and establishing assurance populations. In Africa, TWF Conservation protects more than one million acres. TWF Conservation also supports the White Oak Conservation Center in Northern Florida, a scientific and educational center dedicated to protecting imperiled species and increasing knowledge, awareness, and support for conservation.

Walter is a trustee of Creighton University, Northwestern University, the Field Museum, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. He received his JD degree from Northwestern and his BSBA degree from Creighton.

Thomas Tull

Co-Chairman TWG Global

Thomas Tull is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and investor whose career has spanned across entertainment, technology, and business. He serves as co-chairman of TWG Global, jointly leading the company with Mark Walter, where he focuses on harnessing innovation and uncovering growth opportunities

In addition to his role at TWG Global, Tull founded and chairs the United States Innovative Technology Fund (USIT), a groundbreaking initiative supporting growth-stage companies in quantum computing, AI, cybersecurity, satellites, biotechnology, and space. Tull is also the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Tulco, LLC, a private holding company that backs companies driving disruptive change in traditionally under-innovated markets.

Previously, Tull founded and served as CEO of Legendary Entertainment, a media company that redefined how films were financed and marketed. Under his leadership, Legendary produced films like The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, and Jurassic World. The company was sold to Wanda Group in 2016 for $3.5 billion.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Tull is part of the ownership groups of the Pittsburgh Steelers, six-time Super Bowl champions, and The New York Yankees, the most successful team in Major League Baseball history.

Beyond business, Tull is deeply committed to philanthropy and advancing innovative solutions to global challenges through the Tull Family Foundation. He actively supports education, scientific research, and conservation initiatives. Tull serves as an Advisor to the Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer at MIT, is a member of the MIT School of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council, and recently served as a Visiting Innovation Scholar at MIT. He is also a trustee for Carnegie Mellon University, the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the National Basketball Hall of Fame, and the Smithsonian Institution.

Drew Cukor expands the TWG Global innovations portfolio, with over 30 years of tech prowess, most recently as a global leader of AI transformation across both government and commercial sectors.

Over the past three years, Cukor transformed JP Morgan into the most advanced AI-powered financial services company. Prior to JP Morgan, he led the U.S. Department of Defense’s first major AI initiative, the multi-billion dollar Project Maven.

Dan Towriss

CEO of TWG Motorsports TWG Global

Dan Towriss leads the newly-formed TWG motorsports division, strengthening the group’s presence across global motorsports and its dynamic racing portfolio, with a focus on competing and winning at the highest levels.

Beyond motorsports, Towriss is the founder and CEO of Group 1001, a financial services company with more than $66 billion in assets under management; he brings over 30 years of expertise in business transformation.
